What is it?

An electric toe nail clipper? Laser guided toilet paper? Psycho-kinetically controlled planes? Robots on steroids? Self-cleaning dishes? Talking nappies?

You tell me......

Well, I don't know if broadband is the ultimate in technology but it is for me at the moment thumbs up

because I'm still on dial-up but it looks as though I'll be getting 2 way satellite broadband from an ISP which is a Government assisted ISP....the satellite dish and equipment is worth $3,000+ and I'm getting it for free some time in April when they recieves more funding because it ran out. The dish is provided free only to people that live in remote areas and who can't get ISDN.

Maybe we should invest more research on "tele" things: telekinesis, telepathy, teleportation....

You're so lucky, Albert. That sounds like a great deal Very Happy I'm still on dialup. I could afford broadband but just don't know if it's warranted for what I do online at the mo.

Well, I'm mainly interested in having the convinence of being able to be on the internet and having the phone work at the same time. My wife will also be able to be logged on at the same time as me and still have the phone working. She has her own PC. I can get a broadband plan which also works out cheaper than dial up.

I'm pretty sure also that EAGLE ONE has free broadband because in Canada it's free. I wonder when Howard will do the same?

Yes, it does free up the phone. But I only get online once a day so no big hassle.
