| Haha i laughed my but off at this entire page!!! Way off topic people. I have to say i have love hate relationship with technology. I know that technology keeps us in touch and hey i love messenger, google, my mp3 player, music downloads and the rest. I thought i was such an individual by voting to ride bikes (silent vote i know) but seems like many agree. I am conflicted though as i believe that technology and globalisation go hand in hand. Technology is used for good and for evil.. I guess you could say i have a love hate relationship with technology. I think it makes things less personal... Has anyone ever gone for a walk in the city, Brisbane for example? I can't get anyone to say g'day to me cos they all have their earphones in. Or they are on their mobiles. We all just pretend that other people don't exist.. |

| Technology is good but it leads to consumerism. We all want to have the latest gadgets and the USA is a good example of this getting out of hand. One thing I do hate though is voice answering services on the phone. Half the time you never get to speak to a real person, and when you do get to speak to someone, they are too much in a rush because technology tend to speed things up too fast. |

| I can't stand message banks, answering machines, companies like Centrelink where you have to wait forever, that recorded voice when I report to C/Link, marketing calls - "please push 1" then after that "please push 5" & on and on (you should try ringing Vodafone lol), etc etc.
Technology has really been a blessing in my case with CFS - not being able to work full time and mainly being at home. As far as bringing us together, I've belonged to a graphics forum since 2001 and I have so many friends there now. As far as pushing us apart, hubby once said I love my pc more than the family - yeah right - I think he lost his marbles that one time lol... he's got 'em back now .... And my pc is off the lounge room so I'm close when he's watching tv - hey, he loves his tv more than me |
